Longwood is a city in Seminole County FL with a population of around 13,657. The earliest settlers to Longwood arrived in the 1870s and a small community began to develop around this time. In 1876 the Longwood Post Office was established and Edward Warren Henck was the first postmaster. He selected the name Longwood after a suburb of Boston which he helped lay out.
